Month 1 Update
We’re 4 weeks in and things are starting to take shape! All demolition is done, and framing is about 50% complete. Plumbers have started work inside. They’re rebuilding all existing plumbing and connecting it to the new bathroom upstairs. We did a foundation scan so we could work without damaging the home’s existing structure.
Pouring the concrete for the new patio was a very important next step, because we need install a roof support to finish the framing. Our concrete subcontractor carefully sloped the new patio so that water will always drain away from the house.
The upstairs rooms are taking shape. Our design team helped their client customize the second story. The homeowner has an office at the back of the house with a balcony overlooking the lake. Our clients are grandparents to 3 young kids, so they wanted to make a space for them upstairs. The game room was designed to fit a 22′ long shuffle board table, and the bunk room was designed to fit 4 custom queen-sized beds with pull-out trundles.
On the very front of the house, the homeowner wanted an open storage space (without A/C or heating). We are installing a mechanical lift from the garage that will help them move furniture or seasonal storage.
